Woking Town War Memorial in Jubilee Square Woking Town War Memorial
Additional dedication to victims of World War 2
Relocated in 1975 to the new Town Square
known as Jubilee square since 2013

The names inscribed on the Memorial are of those who fell in The Great War 1914-1919. It was decided that the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919 ended the Great War, although Allied Forces were still fighting and dieing in Russia until  1921.

After the surrender of Japan in 1945 the dedication to the fallen of The World War 1939-1945 was added to the plinth, the names of the fallen are inscribed in the Book of Remembrance displayed in Woking Library at the corner of Jubilee Square

The Names Inscribed on the memorial can be seen here (Work in Progress)
